| Doug Garland |
| Doug Garland has extensive experience building high-growth
businesses in the mobile space. Most recently, as a SVP at Yahoo!,
he led the company's mobile initiative, building Yahoo! Mobile
into the #1 mobile internet destination. Prior to Yahoo!, Doug
served as a VP at Sprint PCS where he led the Carolinas & Virginia
regional service launch. Prior to Sprint, he led product marketing
for the PacBell Mobile Services and MCI Cellular launches. Doug
also was a pioneer in the development of CDMA digital cellular
while at PacTel/AirTouch. He holds an MBA from Stanford University
and a BS and ME in Systems Engineering from the University of
Virginia. |
| David Hytha |
| David joined AT&T in 1982 where he started and built its semiconductor
and wireless infrastructure operations in Japan. In 1994, while
at McCaw Cellular, he started what became FarEasTone, a major
GSM operator in Taiwan. In 1994 he joined Motorola’s handset
division in Japan, which won the world’s first 3G handset contract.
In 1997 as CEO of LGC Wireless he shipped the world’s first
distributed in-building mobile antenna systems for mobile, and
raised major venture funding. In 1998 he joined Silicon Wave
where he shipped the world’s first standard Bluetooth chipset.
In 2003 he joined T-Mobile as Executive VP, Terminals and was
responsible for the selection, marketing and development of
all handsets for T-Mobile in Europe (over €2B per year). In
2006 he became Chairman of Streamezzo, S.A., and serves on the
Board of Directors of Option Ltd. Most recently, David joined
Sofinnova Partners in 2006 as a venture partner, developing
and growing firms in the mobile and communications markets.
He holds an MBA from Columbia University in NY and a BA from
the College of the Holy Cross. |
| Andre Lee |
| Born in New York and raised in Korea, Andre has a diverse
background in business, with global experience in both industry
and finance. He previously worked for Lehman Brothers, where
he played a pioneering role in developing the Asian bond markets,
and at Peregrine (formerly Asia's largest regional investment
bank), where he built a team of over 300 people and helped hundreds
of Asian companies raise more than $50 billion in debt financing.
He moved to Korea in 1997 to establish a financial software
company called 01 Inc. which developed a web-based enterprise
class solution that enables companies to automate their capital
raising process online. Andre founded Sense Korea which advises
small and midsize Korean technology companies in the areas of
finance, marketing, product development, sales and distribution
and is currently the Managing Director of Intellectual Ventures
Asia. |
| Dr. Panos Nasiopoulos |
| Panos is a renowned H.264 CODEC expert who is currently an
Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia and
holder of the UBC Professorship in Digital Multimedia. He also
serves as the Director of the Master of Software Systems Program
at the University of British Columbia. Prior to his work at
UBC, Panos served as President of Daikin US (DVD Division) and
was Executive Vice President of Sonic Solutions |
